Wondrous Wreath Christmas Card

Okay, I know I only got up to 6 out of 10 Christmas and Non-Christmas cards using the Filigree Embossing Folder, but it wasnt' because I ran out of ideas! After creating 12 Cards with it I totally wanted to throw the folder over the balcony and never see it again!!! Please don't be put off using yours!!! 12 cards was just enough for me!!

So onto something different! I have really loved the Holiday Catalogue from Stampin' Up! this year, and with Christmas literally just around the corner, I thought I'd share a card we made at a class recently, with Instructions! I hope you enjoy the instructions, 'cause boy did it take a long time to articulate!

This card is an Accordion Card, also known as a Z-Card, and they're really simple to make.
Here it is laying flat and opened out.

How to Make this Card

1.  Trim Pear Pizzazz cardstock to 14.85x21cm and fold in half to make a card blank, then fold the front of the card in half back onto itself. This creates your Accordion Card (also known as a Z-Fold card).

2.  Cut 1 piece of Whisper White card to 10x14.3cm. Stamp the flower and snowflake stamps down the right hand side and stamp one snowflake at the bottom left hand side as shown in photo. Stamp Christmas sentiment with Garden Green in centre. Adhere to the inside of the card base.

3.  Cut 2 pieces of patterned paper from 'All Is Calm' Designer Specialty Paper to 4.2x13.8cm and adhere onto 2 pieces Whisper White cardstock cut to 4.7x14.3cm, then adhere to the two front panels as shown in the photo.

4.  Cut 1 piece Whisper White cardstock and 1 piece of patterned paper to 8.3cm square and adhere the patterned piece to the white piece and mount with Stampin' Dimensionals (3D foam) onto front of card as shown. **Only place mounts on the left hand side of this piece.

5.  Die cut 2 snowflakes from Silver Glimmer Paper and attach to front panel.

6.  Stamp the Wreath in Pear Pizzazz, then stamp the Berries in Real Red over top, then stamp leaves with Versamark on top also and emboss with Silver Embossing Powder.

7.  Stamp Bow in Real Red onto Whisper White and die cut, then add Rhinestone. Die cut the word Joy in Brushed Gold cardstock and adhere both to Wreath. Mount finished Wreath with foam dots as in photo.

Letterpress Winter Christmas Card

Hello there, today I have a cute Christmas Card to share with you which is quick and easy to make.
You could easily make quite a few in one sitting.

If you know me, you'll know I love Washi Tape. It offers another arm of creating and here I've used it to frame my centre piece.

Style Info

  • The Washi Tape is from All Is Calm Designer Washi Tape Collection, which has 5 rolls of different patterns, colours and sized rolls. On this card the Washi Tape is the strip of green with white triangles on it, and the silver strip at the top of the card.
  • The tree in the middle is a die from the Snowflake Card Thinlits Dies Set, and die cut from All Is Calm Specialty Designer Series Papers.
  • The Silver Banner is also a die and is from the same Die Set as the Tree, which is the Snowflake Card Thinlits Dies Set
  • The stamped Snowflake circle in the middle co-ordinates with the 2" Circle Punch OR the Circle Dies Set, which is what i used as I don't have the Punch. So it gives you two options there.

Style Tip:

  • What I love about Stampin Up! is that they co-ordinate everything for you which saves loads of time! To create this card I used their co-ordinating products and colours from page 21 and 22 of the Holiday Catalogue to speed things up for me!

Hope you've enjoyed this card. Happy Creating! Angeliki :)

Snowflake Card Thinlits Dies Flip Card

As promised yesterday, here's another card I made with the Snowflake Card Thinlits Die. This one is an extended version of the card I posted yesterday.

The photo below is the card closed and is the front of the card. It didn't need the ribbon to keep it closed, I just thought it was a nice touch! And any excuse to use pretty ribbon & the Snowflake metal embellishments - I love them!
The photo below shows the extension part of the card and is the rectangle on the right of the card. It offers a good place to write your sentiment.
The photo below is the left hand panel of the card opened out. By pulling and closing this panel, it creates the flip card effect.

I love the 'Noel' die which is from the Wonderful Wreath Framelits Dies, which I die cut in Brushed Gold Card Stock, which is in the Annual Catalogue.
  • I just like to mention the different Catalogues if I've used products from two different ones because it can be so frustrating looking and looking thinking 'where'd she get that from?!'
Hope you like this card! If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask in the comments section at the bottom of this post and I will get back to you ASAP!

Or just leave a 'nice' comment if you like the card, I'd love to hear from you!

Snowflake Flip Card & Letterpress Winter Stamp Set

In a recent post I said I would post some of my cards using Stampin' Up!'s Snowflake Flip Card Thinlits Dies, so I have one of those to share today.

It's so easy to create with this Die Set and I've teamed it up with the co-ordinating Stamp Set 'Letterpress Winter', the Northern Flurry Embossing Folder,  & All is Calm Designer Washi Tape, to get a pretty card in zero time!

Soooo Easy To Create This Card!

  • The Die cuts and scores everything for you! All you have to do is fold on the score lines and your flip card base is done!
  • Because the stamp set is Photopolymer, it's really easy to stamp the snowflake on the die cut snowflake because you can see right through it, so really easy to match up!
  • If you've been to my Pinterest Site you'll know I love Washi Tape. I love it because it gives you more creative scope in an easy fashion. Here I've used All Is Calm Designer Washi Tape for the decorative patterns on the front of the card.
It's quite hard photographing a flip card but hopefully you'll get the drift with these photos. The photo above is the card closed & the photo below is it standing open.
The Northern Flurry Embossing Folder is in Stampin' Up!'s Annual Catalogue just in case you're searching the Holiday Catalogue and can't find it!
I love the words in this Die Set and I've die cut them in 'Silver Glimmer Paper'.
This was just a fun card to make and I hope you'll give it a try!

Hope you've enjoyed today's card and I will post another card tomorrow using the Snowflake Card Thinlits Dies.
Have a great day! :)

10 Christmas & Non-Christmas Cards w Filigree Embossing Folder - No. 6

Now that we're into November Christmas will be upon us pretty quickly. And I'm glad to say that I  have actually done some of my present buying already! Still a way to go on my cards tho!

Speaking of Cards, here's Number 6 in my series of '10 Christmas and Non-Christmas Cards with Stampin' Up! Filigree Embossing Folder.'

# 6 Christmas Card

I was really happy with how this card turned out and we're making it as part of my Christmas Card Buffet Class on 22 November.

The backing paper is from the Gold Soiree Specialty Designer Series Paper Pack. It's not actually a Christmas paper pack so it's in the Annual Catalogue, but it matches perfectly for what I wanted here. And it shows that your papers can be used for any occasion!

I wanted to keep the card predominantly gold and silver, and I love the gold subtly peeking through from the paper, which highlights the other gold elements of the card without imposing upon it.

And I love the little splash of red the die cut 'Joy' in Red Glimmer Paper brings, which ties the whole card together. The Snowflakes and Joy dies are from the Snowflake Card Thinlits Dies which makes a flip card too which is very 'cool'!!, and I'll post some of my cards made with that very soon.

Here's a List of the Stampin' Up! Products I used to Create this Card

Stamp Set: Letterpress Winter
Ink Pads: Versamarker
Card Stock: Pistachio Pudding, Whisper White, Brushed Gold, Red Glimmer Paper.
Papers: Gold Soiree.
Accessories: Gold Bakers Twine, Rhinestones.
Tools: Heat Gun, Gold & Silver Embossing Powders, Big Shot, Filigree Embossing Folder, Snowflake Card Thinlits Dies

Now for #6 Non-Christmas Card.

Here I've used elements from the All-Inclusive Card Kit - Everyday Occasions.

I've taken one of Stampin' Up!'s ideas from the included colour Brochure in the kit, and just added it to the Filigree Embossing Folder. This card was really quick, easy and fun to create and ended with a striking result!

This kit is fantastic! To start with, I just loved the Stamp Set, so it was sold to me from word go, But honestly, I think this kit is incredible Value. You get a 7 piece Stamp Set which would have to be worth at least $30, then all the added components to make 20 Beautiful Cards with Envelopes!

See an up close photo of the Kit in the Annual Catalogue on Page 23, and then Pg 196 to view all the Components.

So lets Profile the Everyday Occasions Kit - Up Close & Personal!

  • It includes Full-Colour Photos of all 20 cards and includes Tips & Tricks to help you along the way.
  • You don't need to add anything so it's great for a Gift too! All the Stamps and Ink Spots along with Clear Mount Block are included!
  • Comes in a Storable, Giftable Box! Great for Christmas present!
  • Great for yourself when you need a quick card, or struggling for inspiration!
  • Really fun and exciting opening the box and pulling all the bits and pieces out!
  • A new arm to your creativity - I really enjoyed creating this way!

So Here's what's Included in the Kit.

7 piece Occasions Stamp Set
Clear Mount Block
2 Stampin' Spots Ink Pads
Preprinted Card Bases and Envelopes for 20 Cards
Precut Paper Embellishments
Precut Silver Glimmer Paper Embellishments
White Paper Doilies
Buttons & Clips
Bakers Twine
Stampin' Dimensionals
Full-Colour Tips & Tricks Brochure with Colour Photos of all 20 Cards

See an up close photo of the Kit on Page 23, and then Pg 196 to view all the Components, in the Annual Catalogue.

I really have loved creating with this kit and I'll post some of my other cards I've made with it along the way.

Hope you've enjoyed today's post. Until next time!

10 Christmas and Non-Christmas Cards using Filigree Embossing Folder

We're half way there with my special series of cards with Stampin' Up! Filigree Embossing Folder ..... Mmm ....... might have been a bit over zealous! We'll see!

I've done both cards today with the 'Marker to Stamp' Technique. There's a little explanation further down on how to do this. This technique really adds more life to your images, and is fun and easy!

Here's # 5 Christmas Card.

I have really loved creating with this stamp set "White Christmas", and I've just received my All Is Calm Snowflake Embellishments and Washi Tape, so couldn't wait to include them!

Style Tips

  • I've used 'Marker to Stamp' Technique on the Trees, which is simply colouring your image with Stampin' Write Markers directly onto the stamp. For full details, type 'Marker to Stamp Technique' in my search box and it will come up. Ive used Soft Suede for the Trunks, Wild Wasabi for Tree Branches, and Soft Sky on the Ice Mound.
  • I've sponged Pool Party on the Snow Mound and softly throughout the background. Then sponged So Saffron through the trees as if sunlight is shinning through them.
  • I've used my Two-Way Glue Pen to adhere the Glitter.
  • I stamp the Polar Bear in Sky Blue and then cut out with my Paper Snips.
  • I adhered the Snowflake Embellishment with a Glue Dot. These are great, strong and multi uses, like for Bows.

Here's A List of the Stampin' Up! Products I used to Create this Card.

Stamp Sets: White Christmas, Good Greetings
Card Stock: Whisper White, Real Red, Brushed Gold, Dazzling Details Glimmer Paper
Ink Pads: Soft Sky, Wild Wasabi, Smoky Slate, So Saffron, Pool Party
Stampin' Write Markers: Soft Suede, Wild Wasabi, Soft Sky
Accessories: All Is Calm Snowflake Embellishments & Washi Tape, Real Red 3/8" Satin Woven Ribbon, Linen Thread.
Tools: Big Shot, Filigree Embossing Folder, Modern Label Punch, Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack, Paper Snips.
Adhesives: Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Double Sided Tape, Dimensionals, Glue Dots.

Here's # 5 Non-Christmas Card.

Well, I'm a flower girl, so there's no denying that this stamp was a must have for me! I love it!
I also love the Sequins! They give a magicness (don't know if that's a word - magicness!) to the card and bring it to life. This card was quite quick to create too!

I couldn't decide whether to keep the Butterfly in or not, so will show you both cards. Which one do you like best - With or Without Butterfly? Just leave your answer in the Comments Box at the end of this post.

Style Tips:

  • I glued the Sequins down with Multipurpose Liquid Glue - To do this, put a small spot of glue on the card stock, then holding the sequin with tweezers, lay it on the glue. Also holding Stampin' Up! Adhesive Pearl with tweezers, place in the centre of the sequin.
  • To frame the Greeting, punch Pear Pizzazz Card Stock with Scallop Oval, cut in half long ways, adhere both half's with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Here's A List of the Stampin' Up! Products I used to Create this Card.

Stamp Sets: Hey There Buds, Flower Patch (for the Greeting)
Card Stock: Whisper White, Calypso Coral (Card Base)
Ink Pad: Pear Pizzazz
Stampin' Write Markers: Calypso Coral, Pear Pizzazz
Accessories: Calypso Coral Seam Binding, 2013-2015 In Colour Sequin Assortment, Pearl Basic Jewels.
Tools: Big Shot, Filigree Embossing Folder, Scallop Oval Punch.
Adhesives: Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Dimensionals, Double Sided Tape.

Well that's it from me for today. I hope you enjoy the Cards! :)

10 Christmas & Non-Christmas Card Ideas with Filigree Embossing Folder

#4 Christmas Card with Filigree Embossing Folder.

This card is quite easy to pull together. I really love the Santa & his Reindeer's stamp!

 Style Tips:

  • I cut the Houses straight out from the Nordic Noel DSP to save time stamping and colouring! And the look is just as lovely - actually, a lot better than my colouring!
  • I Sponged the centre and inside flourishes of the Embossing Folder with Pool Party to give a more realistic look.
  • Glitter just the inside flourishes to make a pretty frame for your centrepiece - I used Two-Way Glue Pen to adhere Dazzling Details Glitter.

Here's a list of the Stampin' Up! Products I used to Create this Card.

Stamp Set: Holiday Home.
Card Stock & Papers: Whisper White, Real Red, Brushed Gold, Nordic Noel DSP
Ink Pads: Lost Lagoon, Pear Pizazz, Pool Party.
Accessories: Dazzling Details Glitter
Tools: Paper Snips, Big Shot, Filigree Embossing Folder, Itty BittyAccents Punch Pack
Adhesives: Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Two-Way Glue Pen, Dimensionals.

#4 Non-Christmas Card Idea with Filigree Embossing Folder.

The card base of this card is Elegant Eggplant. I'm new to this colour and I really love it!

You might have noticed that I really love this Stamp Set Too! It's called 'From My Heart' & I've used it in 2 of the other "Non-Christmas Cards with the Filigree Embossing Folder." Just scroll down to see these too.

Style Tips:

  • I got the Colour Combo of Elegant Eggplant & Rose Red from Stampin' Up!'s Colour Coach, which I found really helpful as I hadn't worked with Elegant Eggplant before.
  • To frame the 'Happy Birthday' I punched Elegant Eggplant card stock with the Modern Label Punch, cut it in half long ways and adhered it to the back with Multi Purpose Liquid Glue.
  • I stamped the 'Friendship Please' stamp twice, once in Eggplant, and once in Rose Red. Then just cut the Tea Pot out with my paper snips and adhered it with a Dimensional.
  • Rounding the Corners of the Friendship Please card piece softens it and made it blend in more with the curves of the Filigree Embossing Folder and the Happy Birthday, which then tied the whole design in together.
  • The gorgeous 'Dot' in the right hand corner is a Candy Dot in Elegant Eggplant. They're self adhesive for ease.

Here's a List of the Stampin' Up! Products I used to Create this Card.

Rubber Stamp Set: From My Heart
Card Stock: Elegant Eggplant, Whisper White
Ink Pads: Elegant Eggplant, Rose Red
Accessories: Rose Red Seam Binding Ribbon, Regals Candy Dots.
Tools: Paper Snips, Big Shot, Filigree Embossing Folder, Modern Label Punch.
Adhesives: Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Double Sided Tape, Dimensionals, Glue Dots.

10 Christmas & Non-Christmas Ideas with Filigree Embossing Folder.

If you've been following my blog, you'll know I've been counting down from 10 in my series of "10 Different Christmas and Non-Christmas Ideas with Stampin' Up!'s Filigree Embossing Folder." I'm only up to number 3 so I'd better get a move on to post all 10 before Christmas!

Here's # 3 Christmas Idea with Filigree Embossing Folder.

Unfortunately my photo doesn't really show the card off to do it justice, but in the side view photo, you'll get the style of it a little better.
It's similar to an easel card, except that the 'Lip' at the top is holding the card front up instead of the card front being held up by a flat base at the bottom.

Style Tips:

  1. I coloured the Rhinestones with my Blendabilities Markers in Old Olive. Because these markers are Alcohol Markers the ink is permanent, so you can taylor make your own coloured Rhinestones!
  2.  I created the 'Lip' by stamping the image onto Whisper White and die cutting it with the Label Die from Apothecary Accents Framelits Dies, and mounted it on Real Red card stock punched with the Decorative Label Punch.

Here's #3 Non-Christmas Idea.

I'm just loving the colour, Tangerine Tango! It's bright and fresh and gives lots of  'Pop'! And teams up with Bermuda Bay perfectly.

Style Tips: Dry Embossing, Die Cutting and Punching.

  1. Stamp First
  2. Then Die Cut or Punch
  3. Then, Dry Emboss (put whatever you want to emboss into the Embossing Folder and run through Big Shot).

Easy 'How Too' Instructions
  1. Emboss Tangerine Tango Card Stock with Filigree Embossing Folder and wrap Tangerine Tango Twine around it 3 times as shown in photo. Adhere to White Card Base.
  2. Stamp the Sentiment onto Whisper White Card Stock with Tangerine Tango ink and again in Bermuda Bay ink.
  3. Die cut Tangerine Tango sentiment with die from Apothecary Accents Framelits Dies. Emboss with Filigree Embossing Folder as in photo.
  4. Punch 2 Butterflies, 1 with Small Butterfly Punch, and the other using Elegant Butterfly Punch.
  5. Embossed Small Butterfly with Filigree Folder.
  6. Cut 'Enjoying' from Bermuda Bay sentiment and mount with Dimensionals.
  7. Adhere small Butterfly onto larger one, add a Tangerine Tango Candy Dot and mount with Dimensionals onto card.
  8. Add  3 more Tangerine Tango Candy Dots as in photo.
And you're Done!

Hope you've enjoyed today's cards.

Here's a card we made in a class I held a little while ago.
I've used one of my favourite stamp sets, 'Everything Eleanore' (Although I do have many fav's! What can I say, I just love everything Stampin' Up!) The sentiment is from 'Chalk Talk.'(OK another fav'!)
This card is quite easy to make because most of it is Punches and Embossing Folders. The only thing I hand cut was the blue label.  So once you've stamped your images and embossed the frills, it's just a matter of putting it all together.

This is a Tri-Fold card and when the receiver opens it they get a great surprise seeing Santa flying across the sky with his reindeer's.

Sorry this photo us a bit blurry! But you get the idea!

Here's a close up.

This lower image is the middle panel where you write your greeting, so I've kept the images to the bottom of the card.

Oh Christmas Trees, Oh Festival of Trees!

Well a great time was had by all at my Christmas Catalogue Launch Parties on Saturday. There was so much to see and talk about and the excitement was Manic! All good though!

The 'Festival of Trees' Bundle, Stamp Set and matching 'Tree Punch', were the heroes of the day and 'Bright and Beautiful' Stamp Set with matching 'Star Dies' came in a close second!
I love the ease of creating with these products because all hand cutting is eliminated! The Tree Punch and Star Dies were 'must have' items for me and they will get a good workout making all my Gifts Tags too!

I've used the Decorative Dots Embossing Folder for 'Snow' which matches prettily with the Icicles just peeking out on the 'Trim the Tree' DSP underneath.
  • I punched two Trees with the Tree Punch, one from Champagne Glimmer Paper and one I stamped with Brown Sugar Ink on white, and trimmed the Brown Sugar Tree down and adhered over the Glimmer Paper one.
  • The Star was Die Cut from the Star Dies and popped up with a Stampin' Dimensional (foam dot).
  • I wrapped Gold Metallic Bakers Twine three times around the main card piece, adhered it on the back, then sat that piece up with Stampin' Dimensionals.
  • The Greeting was stamped in Real Red Ink and punched out with the Modern Label Punch, which I also punched one out in Real Red Card Stock, cut it in half horizontally, and glued to the back of the Greeting to give a border, then sat up with Stampin' Dimensionals.

I hope you've enjoyed today's Card.
